Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our web application, our APIs, or our Discord bot (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. Use of the Discord bot in any Discord server also constitutes acceptance of these Terms by the user interacting with it.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is a collection of fan-made tools for the game MapleStory, including but not limited to: a character showcase and portfolio generator, a gear tracker with screenshot text recognition, income and progression calculators, a boss-party scheduling tool, informational guides, and a companion Discord bot (the "Bot") that provides scheduling, income, and character sharing commands inside Discord servers. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Use of the Bot additionally requires that you meet Discord's minimum age requirements and comply with Discord's own Terms of Service.

4. Accounts and Authentication

Signing in to the Service is handled through third-party identity providers such as Discord and Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of those accounts and for all activity that occurs under them. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Fan Project; Fees and Paid Features

This Service is an independent fan project provided for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Nexon Co., Ltd., Nexon America Inc., Discord Inc., Google LLC, or any other company referenced by the Service.

The core features of the Service are currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, expanded usage limits, donations, or other optional offerings in the future, and to modify or discontinue any free or paid feature at any time. Any paid offerings will be governed by pricing, billing, and refund terms presented at the time of purchase, which will form part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms obligates us to keep any part of the Service free of charge.

6. Intellectual Property

MapleStory and all related character designs, item designs, images, names, and other in-game assets are the intellectual property of Nexon Co., Ltd. and/or its affiliates, and remain the property of their respective owners. Such content is referenced or displayed for identification and fan purposes only, and no claim of ownership is made over it. Discord and its logo are trademarks of Discord Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

You agree to use the Service in a manner that does not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. If you are a rights holder and believe content available through the Service infringes your rights, contact us at the address in Section 17 and we will review and, where appropriate, remove the content.

7. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of any data you submit through the Service, such as character information, gear lists, screenshots you process, scheduling availability, and text corrections. By submitting data, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, process, and transmit that data solely for the purpose of providing, securing, and improving the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you submit, and you represent that you have the right to submit it.

8. Share Links

Certain features let you generate a share link for a character or other content. Anyone who has a share link can view the shared content without signing in. You are solely responsible for where and with whom you share such links. Once a link has been distributed, we cannot control who accesses it or prevent it from being re-shared. We may disable or invalidate share links at any time, including for security reasons, without notice.

9. Discord Bot Terms

The Bot may be added to Discord servers by users with the appropriate server permissions. By adding or using the Bot, you agree that:

  • Your use of the Bot is also governed by Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • The Bot may post messages, embeds, and notifications (including reminders and mentions/pings) in channels where it is used, and such content is visible to other members of that server.
  • Scheduling features display participant information — such as Discord usernames, selected characters, and availability — to other participants and the schedule host.
  • Character sharing commands publish character information and share links into the Discord channel where the command is run, making them visible to anyone who can view that channel.
  • We may impose usage limits (for example, limits on the number of active schedules), and we may restrict, suspend, or remove the Bot from any server or user at our discretion.
  • Server administrators are responsible for the Bot's use within their server and for informing their members that the Bot is in use.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner. You are prohibited from:

  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Uploading, distributing, or storing content that is offensive, harmful, defamatory, misleading, or infringes on the rights of others.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the functionality, security, or availability of the Service.
  • Attempting to access accounts, data, or areas of the Service that you are not authorized to access, including probing or abusing our APIs, share tokens, or internal endpoints.
  • Using automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service, or using the Service to spam, harass, or ping other users without their consent.
  • Reverse engineering, or attempting to circumvent security or rate-limiting measures of, the Service or the Bot.
  • Impersonating the Service, the Bot, or any other person or entity.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party platforms and services, including Discord, Google, Supabase, and Vercel, and may display content hosted by third parties such as Nexon. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or conduct. We may change service providers at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; that game-related data, calculations, income estimates, or text recognition results will be accurate, complete, or current; or that scheduled notifications and reminders will be delivered on time or at all. Do not rely on the Service for anything important.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from missed events, inaccurate information, or unauthorized access to shared content — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US$50).

To the extent permitted by law, you expressly waive the protections of any statute or doctrine that would limit the scope of a release, including California Civil Code Section 1542, which states:

"A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." — California Civil Code Section 1542.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator of the Service from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, the content you submit or share, or your violation of these Terms or of any third party's rights.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service — including removing the Bot from servers, deleting stored data, or invalidating share links — at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or other conduct we deem harmful to the Service. We may also discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. Sections 6, 7, and 12 through 17 survive termination.

16. Governing Law and Severability

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Amendments and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@devnayr.com.
